What are three adjectives you would use to describe yourself?

Adventurous, ambitious, resourceful

Tell us a little about yourself

I was born in Carbonear, Newfoundland and attended Memorial University. My last place of practice was at the Health Sciences Centre in St. Johns, Newfoundland as an OBGYN Resident.

Tell us about your family

My husband Andrew and I are moving to PEI with our dog and three cats. We are huge animal lovers. We also love being outside and enjoy hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and travelling.

What were the top three factors that made you choose PEI as your new home to practice medicine?

  • The Island sense of community
  • The beautiful landscapes and scenery
  • The warm and spirited people

What was the hardest part about making the decision to move to PEI?

Leaving friends and family behind in Newfoundland was challenging, but truthfully, we have been dreaming of this move for years. We have already made great friends in PEI and I cannot wait to set up our roots!

What impact are you hoping to have on your patients and PEI?

I am hoping that my patients will find me approachable and are comfortable discussing all aspects of women's health. I want to promote women's health in the province and work on breaking barriers to OBGYN care. On the personal side, I want to become an active member of the community! I look forward to volunteering and participating in community events.

What is your proudest life accomplishment?

Completing my OBGYN residency. It's been a tough five years! I’m so proud to have learned and grown through the process.

What is one “fun fact” about you?

My husband and I actually got married on PEI! We eloped and had the most beautiful ceremony – just the two of us!

Do you have any questions for Islanders?
We want to explore every inch of the Island. What are your must-sees and must-dos?
