The Medical Society of Prince Edward Island extends a warm welcome to Dr. David Antle, MD, CCFP, who began his family medicine practice in Summerside in August.

David, originally from Burin, Newfoundland, completed his medical training and residency at the University of Alberta. Prior to his move to Prince Edward Island, he was practicing family medicine in Edmonton.

While David has close friends in Alberta, he wanted to return to smaller town living in Atlantic Canada and Prince Edward Island was a great fit for he and his family. He also credits PEI’s unique model of physician recruitment as a selling point, and of course, the proximity to the water that island living offers.

David is skilled at providing care to patients with musculoskeletal injury, particularly occupational repetitive strain injury; inpatient medicine; and urgent care, in addition to general family medicine.

“I’m looking forward to collaborating with my patients to meet their healthcare needs and goals,” said David. “I hope to provide improved access and service for people in need of medical care.”
